Developed according to the Form-Follows-Function principle, the CLX XO2 Boot gives your horse the perfect protection without compromising on comfort. The protector fits seamlessly to the horse's leg and covers the horse's leg only where needed. The shell is subtly thickened on the back and on the sides of the ball so that the horse's leg is optimally protected in those important areas. The unique feature of the shell is that it is anatomically shaped to the horse's leg. This allows the protector to fit the leg seamlessly. The unique shape of the shell gives protection where needed, but also makes the protector lighter than other protectors, up to 10%! It also allows the horse unhindered movement, so your horse never feels like the guards are in the way!The shell is hard to protect properly, but at the same time enormously flexible so that the shell forms nicely around the horse's leg. The cleverly placed ventilation holes keep the tendon cool. The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermo-formed liner. The composition of the material gives the liner optimal properties. The liner gives an extra-shock absorbing effect because of the air that accumulates in the spaces created by the composition of the material. During shock/impact, the air squeezes out through the extremely breathable lining and ventilation holes. Thus, your horse is optimally protected against shock. Proper fastenings are also hugely important. If the protector is too loose, it can cause chafing, but if it is too tight, it can impede blood flow. The straps of the closures are slightly elastic and feature hook and eye fasteners so that the tendon protector can always be secured in the right place. They mold with the curve of the shell for a streamlined look and fit.
